Kobian launches 7-inch phablet Mercury mTAB Lite

Kobian Pte Ltd, a leading player in computer peripherals and tablets, has released a new phablet called Mercury mTAB Lite. “Wide screen, dual cameras, SIM for calling, powerful processor, OS that offers apps, games etc. are the major features required in a tablet. We at Kobian are focusing to introduce better models in the phablet segment that will meet today’s consumer demand pattern for computing devices and better prices”, said Sushmita Das, Country Manager at Kobian Pte Ltd during the mTab Lite launch.

The Mercury mTAB Lite is 12mm thick, with a 7-inch capacitive five point display touch screen (800×480 pixels), and weighs 320grams. Powered by a 1GHz Vimicro Cortex processor alongside 512MB RAM, the mTAB Lite includes 4GB of internal storage and a micro SD slot which is expandable up to 32GB. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and 2G data connectivity with voice calling through a SIM card slot.

The Mercury mTAB Lite comes with 0.3-megapixel (VGA) rear and front-facing cameras and 3.5mm universal audio jack. In case you forgot your headphones at home, the mTAB phablet comes with a built-in speaker with full HD, 3 Axis – G sensor. Browse the web with its built-in browser that supports Adobe Flash 11.1. With its 2,700mAh battery capacity, you can manage to survive a day on moderate usage. It operates on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with an Allwinner processor to provide faster data access of all the applications.

The Mercury mTAB Lite is not yet available in the US but it is now out in the Indian market for Rs. 6,000 with 1 year warranty.
